Notes from the Founder
Oh golly, it's Wednesday and in a couple of days we're getting ready to receive a shipload of new packaging and I still have to write stories about five fabulous teas for the collection! Eeek!
Well, what can I say except I love this tea and I'm really quite pleased with myself with how it has turned out.
I tried to create a green tea chai a while back using the same mix of chai spices we blend with our signature black tea to make South Cloud Chai (which is, by the way, amazing). It was horrible. I couldn't even find a glimmer of hope that there was something noble enough here to package and sell, not even the health benefits were enough.
Maybe it was a stroke of genius, maybe a little birdy whispered in my ear, but somewhere along the line, I figured out that peppermint and cardamom make quite a nice combo, add a little green tea, cloves, ginger, and licorice on the side and the result is fabulous.
Enjoy, peoples, it's good for you and tastes good too!
Happy brewing!
